I've spent months growing my hair, following beauty regimes, hording wedding magazines and shopping for bridesmaid dresses, suits and my own wedding attire, consequently certain aspects of my life have been a little neglected. Namely my regular wardrobe, after all that wedding mayhem and honeymoon organisation, my clothes storage resembles a jumble sale!! So today i have decided to take the bull by the horns and sort it out.
But i think i've bitten off a little more than i can chew.
I never realised i have SO MANY clothes. They're everywhere! How on earth the other half puts up with it i don't know. I'm attempting to be decisive and ruthless, but i get the feeling the chest of drawers in the spare bedroom will still be chocka with things i "might want one day" - you know if i decide to form a Spice Girls tribute band or something.
But even if i just manage to get my wardrobe in order that will be a start. The trouble is with the weather in England, you need clothes for all seasons. However i have about 50 outfits for each season :( eeeek.
I blame Primark. Since the advent of cheap clothing its possible to buy several "something new"s each and every weekend. I don't though. Honest. Just occasionally - but even so it soon mounts up. And what am i left with, a honking pile of clothes that still fit, but have either seen better days or i just don't like them anymore.
If i could find my camera (ha - in all this chaos chance would be a fine thing) i would take a picture of the explosive products of the clothing volcano that is my 3meters wide ikea wardrobe!
Tell me ladies, how do you manage a clothing overhaul? I'm in serious need of advice.
